Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the top FAQ’s, however please feel free to ask us if you have further questions not covered here.

HOW SAFE ARE YOUR YACHTS?

All yachts undergo annual safety checks by MPA appointed marine surveyors appointed.  There are life jackets onboard for every passenger, as well as crew. We also carry life jackets for children in a variety of sizes, and encourage all children under the age of 12, and both children and adults who are not confident swimmers, to wear a life jackets whilst the boat is underway.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

In the event of rain, it will be at the Captain's discretion whether to continue the charter. If the Captain decides that it is not safe to sail, the charter will be re-scheduled to a later date (subject to availability).

DOES MY CHILD / BABY COUNT AS A PASSENGER?

Yes. Under MPA licensing laws, everyone on board, no matter age, is considered part of the headcount.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Unfortunately insurance polices don’t allow for pets on board the yachts.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible, especially for weekend Charters. As the yachts are busy, bookings are made on first come first serve basis. A booking is only confirmed upon payment of a 50% deposit.

Extended charters 2 days or more require a minimum 30 days advance booking.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Our cancellation policy states:

  • Cancellations made more than 28 days prior to charter departure date will receive a full refund less an administratioSGD $300 and the agent's booking commission (if the latter is applicable)

  • For cancellations made less than 1 month prior to departure, no refund of deposit will be made.

  • For cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to departure, no refund of fees will be made.

  • We strongly recommend that you purchase cancellation insurance to protect you in the event that you are unable to make the charter.

DO YOU OFFER INSURANCE?

Unfortunately Atlantis Yachts is unable to offer insurance advice. There are some insurance companies in Singapore that cater to boat charters but you will need to contact them directly to learn more about the policies they offer. The following link provides a list of insurance companies in Singapore:

DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?

We regret that the yachts do not have wheelchair access, and there is also limited space on board for a wheelchair.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY PASSPORT?

Passports are only required for extended charters outside of Singapore waters ie to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Our day charters (charters up to 12 hours) are all within Singapore waters so you do not need your passport. If you are considering an overnight charter to Batam in Indonesia, or Sebana Cove in Malaysia, then you will need to bring your passport.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU HAVE ON BOARD?

Most of our yachts are equipped with the following:

  • CD/MP3 stereo system with internal and external speakers

  • LCD screen with DVD player

  • BBQ in cockpit

  • Snorkelling equipment (4 sets)

  • Sea kayaks (2 sets)

  • Board Games

  • Karaoke set

  • 2 x Fishing rods (rods and reels are provided but lines and baits are not provided)

CAN I PLAY MUSIC ON BOARD?

Yes, each yacht is equipped with a CD/radio stereo, which has connections for iPods and MP3 players, with both internal and external speakers.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN CUTLERY, PLATES AND GLASSES?

Crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided on board. Our yachts have fully equipped galleys (kitchens), with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and stove, as well as all cooking and eating utensils provided.

CAN I SMOKE ON BOARD?

For safety reasons, smoking is not allowed on our yachts. If you would like a cigarette during the charter, our skipper would be happy to take you to the beach in the dinghy once the yacht is at anchor.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL ONBOARD?

As Atlantis Yachts owners are Muslim, we do not sell, profit from, or handle alcohol.

As we do not wish to infringe on your enjoyment, guests ordering catering are allowed to bring their own alcohol on board.

For guests not catering, alcohol can be bought directly on board by asking the crew, independent of Atlantis Yachts, OR they may pay a direct corkage fee via the crew to bring their own alcoholic beverages for consumption on board.

Alcohol must be consumed in a responsible manner. Atlantis Yachts & Associates reserve the right to refuse or curtail a charter that we deem to involve inappropriate behaviour and/or excessive alcohol consumption, such as stag/bachelor parties, or any similar activities that may jeopardise the safety of the boat, crew and passengers. If a charter is curtailed, no refund will be given.

SHOULD I BRING MY OWN TOWEL(S)?

We recommend that you bring your own swimming towel for all day charters.
